"I sTill can't get my head aRound you wanting to go out in this driving rain to go fishing", remarked Mel as Gavin donned his waterproofs and made his vacuum flask of tea. Gavin didn't reply - the solitude and not having to explain to her in detail what he was doing were part of the reason this was an ideal day! After three and a half hours, the rain cleared and the fishing conditions became ideal. It wasn't long before he'd caught a sizeable trout. He weighed and measured it, and got someone to take a photo of him holding the fish before releasing it back into the river.
