The almost LAmE donkey hobbled over to the well to slake its thirst. "Hi fella" said the donkey to his owner, Balaam. (Balaam had become quite used to conversing with his donkey by now after his alarming journey the year before.) "Let's move on as this is not an ideal place" said Balaam. They walked slowly side by side talking as if they were equal to each other. Balaam had become a nature lover so he was pointing out to the donkey various things as they walked. "You would think that all this is a flower" explained Balaam, "but each of these bits is a sepal". "That rock protrusion over there is made from shale" he went on to say. Then a lizard scurried across their path. "That lizard's movement looks almost zoeal to me" said Balaam who had a surprising knowledge of water creatures. The donkey was enjoying learning during his retirement from load carrying.
