There was a TOUch on Sam's shoulder. "It's time to make some more gunpowder if we're going to keep up with the miners." They had the sulphur and carbon but they needed an oxidant. Sam and his team checked the saltpetre stocks but they were almost out. "We'll have to make a trek to the caves to replenish that", he said to the team. "Pack some food for the journey and let's get going. I've got a whole gouda here we can share for starters". After a lengthy trek they got to the caves and went hunting for piles of guano. Eventually they got back and were ready to convert the guano into saltpetre and hence make a batch of gunpowder.
