There were a LoT of noisy people in the hall when Roger entered, carrying his bolt of cloth. "I shall have to give this announcement some clout to be heard", he thought. So Roger stood on a chair and bellowed out "Can the car owner who decided to flout the regulations remove their vehicle from the 'ambulance only' bay." (Tact was not one of Roger's strong points!) Someone sheepishly left the hall and the conversation noise bubbled up again. Roger was then able to carry on and set up his market stall where he sold fabrics.
